When an empty home needs a deep clean
Moving in

Moving out

Builders hand over keys with dust in every corner. We clear it before you move furniture in.

Independent house
Every floor of an empty house, along with the staircase, terrace and sit-out, before new occupants arrive.
Villa
Even empty, a villa needs a larger crew. We come and look first at no charge, then give one figure.
Duplex
Both bare floors and the inside staircase together, quoted once we have seen the house for free.
With no furniture to work around, an empty flat costs about 10% less than the same size furnished. The figure can go up if the home has stood closed for months or has paint and cement marks; you hear it on the call. Independent houses, villas and duplexes are quoted on the call or after a free visit.
What we clean in an empty home
The same top-to-bottom order, but nothing is skipped because furniture is in the way. Floors are always last.
Ceilings and corners
- Cobwebs brushed out of corners and off the ceiling
- Fan blades, light fittings and switch plates wiped
Walls and doors
- Dust wiped off walls and along the skirting
- Door shutters, frames and handles
Windows
- Glass panes and frames, where a ladder reaches safely
- Sills and the sliding tracks underneath
Wardrobes and storage
- Wardrobes and cupboards, inside and out
- Lofts and wall shelves, where safely reachable
Kitchen
- Every cabinet and drawer, inside and out

New interior or after-painting clean
Carpenters, electricians and painters leave fine dust and hard spots behind. For a newly built home, fresh interior work or a home that was just painted, these jobs come first, followed by the complete empty home clean above:
- Protective film taken off wardrobes, kitchen units, doors and windows
- Sticker glue, tape and gum residue scraped away
- Paint drops and cement splashes lifted from floors, glass and fittings
Very old or baked-in paint and cement marks may not come off fully. The team checks first and tells you before starting.
Before we arrive
- Check that water and electricity are switched on; new flats sometimes still have them disconnected
- Arrange keys and any lift or gate access the team will need
- If possible, book the clean before your furniture arrives, not after
- Hand over the keys at the start and walk through the home with us at the end
Questions about unfurnished home cleaning
Can you clean the flat before I hand it back to the owner?
Yes. Book it a day or two before the handover date, so there is time to check everything before you return the keys.
How is the new interior clean different?
An empty home clean removes dust and dirt. The new interior clean also removes protective film, sticker glue, paint drops and cement splashes, which need more time and material.
Do I need to stay the whole time?
No. Let the team in at the start and come back for the final check.
